wedding bells but not mine!

wow. it has been ages since i updated.
it has pretty much been all work work work with me.
and sleep sleep sleep the rest of the time.

especially at the weekends...
but last night i went to some friends' wedding party.
it was a lovely haunted house/alice in wonderland theme (her name is alice and it is almost halloween...) the friends that got married are both on a really tight digital industry mailing list that i've been on since around 95

i wanted to look my best so went to aveda and had my hair re-browned and it is the most luscious dark chocolate colour ever. just too bad that it is still falling out to the point that my sexy manga style looks a bit straggly to me...so to draw attention away from thinning hair i wore THE highest hi hi heeled shoes - sexy black patent leather with an ankle strap and slight stripper feel...yum...with tight pencil skirt and tubey type top with built in bra (luckily, but only an H cup so alot of benny hill style spillage...oooo err....) and my luscious fur trimmed porn coat by satya james

and luckily my botox has settled in so my lovely arched drag queen eyebrows are back!!!

there are only about 60 of us on the list but as we talk all day online everyday and have for around 15 years you can imagine that we are all really really close. but also what is interesting is how the 1 in 12* theory is rolling out amongst this group and i found out another one of us has tx'd and cleared hepC a few years ago. so that is me that is waiting for SVR, and her that has SVR, as well as another that shares a specialist at UCH with me...
interesting.

*Because shockingly one in 12 people worldwide are living with either chronic hepatitis B or hepatitis C. While this is far higher than the prevalence of HIV or any cancer, awareness is inexplicably low and the majority of those infected are unaware.

catching up for lost time!

two updates in one day...

so if you dont want to read all the wibble wabble gabble below here is a quick list of the beginning of my post-treatment overhauls.

  1. hair still falling out badly in handfulls, but getting my aveda chocolatey fudge brown colour touched up on oct 18th then lovingly blowdryed before heading off to friends' wedding party
  2. botox booked for evening of oct 8th so hopefully i will not be able to move my face or neck by the 18th
  3. perfume shopping at liberty sale tomoro night as have gone off my usual lovely vanilla scents and now need spicy orange yumminess
  4. eyebrow threading and dyeing and llama lashes tinted blue black tomoro lunchtime
  5. dentist! getting my choppers sorted for the wedding starts october 21st
  6. next thing is to book in with GP to get all the niggles that we ignored during treatment sorted...
  7. about to do some yoga - lovely fiance bought me the Let's Yoga tutorial for my cute little pink nintendo DS
so what did you do today?

east angular...

i did it.

chopped my hair...and even shorter than planned!

its dark dark deep deep chocolate brown again and very very manga...

i just cant wait to get off treatment and put some really extremely long hair extensions in the front so it's even more extremely angled.

funny thing is that it now feels even heavier than before - reckon its because what is left is sooo healthy compared to the brittle dry mess i was carrying around.

now i just need some new sunglasses.

hmmm...

and a nap.

monday ugh

ugh...wokeup thought i was up to trying to get my hair re-touched today...my ashy hair is peaking out from under the brown i overdyed my high lights so it's actually making me look like i've lost even more hair than i actually have...so i phoned up aveda and luckily there was a cancellation today and i can try and get a massage afterwards!

but now i've had a bath, my fever is way back up and the painkillers aren't breaking it. all i want to do is stay in bed now but i look like shit and need to sort my hair out - i know i will feel better once i get up and walk around the corner and get pampered a bit...after all it is doctor's orders! they made me promise not to just work work work and home home home. to do something nice for myself...and i guess i can combine my daily walk with it.

ddnt manage to see my chemo friend at the weekend but will call him tonight and try and again soon when we are both up to it...like herding cats this gathering of the sick, lol!

bootcamp

i've not told alot of people about the hepC...

well, kinda maybe i have but not really considering how much i blog everything out online usually. i'm so used to being blatant that this covert blogging is weird for me.

so who have i told?
only the 2 friends from back home that were here in london when i found out - 1 of them has a sister with it and himself has had major health issues with transplants and everything so was the perfect person to come out to.

some of the ppl at work know and are uber supportive as they have a close friend in the industry that has had it for agez and been unresponsive to any treatment.

a mailing list that i've been on for over 10 years whose members have become my bestest friends.

a few other ppl and a few more other ppl

the landlady at my local pub - so she would understand why i'm not there 24/7 anymore!

and of course my fiance.

but no family - why worry them with something that might clear?
they all have their own health issues they are dealing with anyway...
(and the same susceptible fatty diabetic liver as i have been blessed with)

then there are a couple more ppl - both hairdressers that know i'm having a medical treatment and needed to dye my hair back brown, but dont' know what the treatment is for.

so how will i explain the non-drinking and weight loss?

easy.

bridal bootcamp.

i have a wedding to get in shape for so as all other brides do these days i will be detoxing and shedding the pounds...

phew!
